Vodka Substitutions

YaDa Chef recommends to always use premium vodka brands when cooking. The process in making Vodka is made by fermenting and then distilling starch. Charcoal filtration is used to remove impurities before the water dilution.

The better the vodka, the more highly filtered it is and the more neutral the flavor.

For cooking and using cheap vodkas, an excellent substitute is to use a home filtration system such as the Brita Water Filter Jug. Although we prefer premium brands such as Grey Goose, an inexpensive substitute using cheap vodkas and filtering them works fine for cooking.

Always remember, one always want to cook with wines, spirits, and beers, as well as foods, that taste good. If you use a terrible tasting wine your sauce will taste terrible. Simple as that.
