Memorial Day weekend was full of jobs.
A cocktail reception held for the board of directors of the Coral Springs Museum of Art started off the holiday weekend.
With an hors d'oeuvres menu consisting of:
Sun Dried Tomato and Feta Sigaras
A delectable pate of Greek feta Cheese and California Sun Dried Tomatoes Wrapped in paper-thin dough
Chicken Mushroom Canapés
Poached chicken and mushrooms blended with cream cheese and Madeira wine served on bread rounds garnshed with sliced almonds
Chicken Chutney Canapés
A blend of poached chicken, mango chutney, almonds and cream cheese served on rounds of rye and garnished with shredded coconut
YaDa Chef’s Signature Citrus and Tequila Marinated Shrimp on Crostini with Olive Tapenade
Petit Maryland Lump Crab Cakes
With a touch of Sea Salt and Dijon Mustard, served with Classic Remoulade Sauce
Vegetable Platter with Scandinavian Dipping Bowl
The cocktail party was a huge success. Letting those who attended the event know that YaDa Chef, a private catering company and personal chef service based in Fort (Ft) Lauderdale, serves south Florida from the Palm Beaches to the Keys; And that we specialize using only organic ingredients and foods, all were in awe.
Memorial Day weekend was full of meals-in-advance orders, personal chef services, as well as an additional cocktail party / pool warming party held Sunday evening in Fort (Ft) Lauderdale.
The holiday was also filled with BBQs, surviving the rain showers which were heavy that day were a challenge but we made it.
The short week which followed was equally as busy.
Cooking, scheduling, and coordinating meals for delivery pulling from our Special Diets Menus kept us busy.
A few last minute corporate catering jobs came down the pike. Of which, one was for a local doctor's office at Imperial Point Medical Center near Pompano Beach. The fajita luncheon ordered was well received and enjoyed by all those in the office.
In YaDa Chef's spare time, we attended several Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce events, a networking meeting in Boca Raton, and several other client relations gatherings.
Then there were the quotes, client consultations, and additions to orders, menu modifications, and... All we can say, is we have been busy and are thankful for the business.
And that is what YaDa Chef has been up to this week and the reason why we have not been able to post any new blogs this week.
Now it is time to catchup on paperwork, determine new catering specials and coupons YaDa Chef will be offering, and work on new recipes.
